Tahquamenon Area Schools participates in the Community Eligibility Program.
Dear Tahquamenon Area School families,
As of 2018-2019, Tahquamenon Area Schools participates in the Community Eligibility Program. This program provides free breakfast and free lunch to ALL students. No application for benefits is necessary.
Our school cafeteria is meeting tough new federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring that meals are healthy and well-balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. Now is a great time to encourage your kids to choose school lunch!
School meals offer students milk, fruits and vegetables, proteins and grains, and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size.
We’re always working to offer Tahquamenon students healthier and tastier choices.Adult meals are: $2/breakfast and $3.50/lunch
If you have any questions about the Community Eligibility Program, feel free to contact Carroll McTiver 906-293-3226, ext. 1184.
We look forward to welcoming your child to the cafeteria this fall! To find out more Tahquamenon’s healthy school meals and/or the changes taking place this upcoming school year, please contact me at 293-3413. To obtain the facts about school meals visit www.TrayTalk.org.
