Baaga'adowewin (Traditional Lacrosse) Community Event @ Historic Ft. Michilimackinac. This event will take place on Wednesday, June 4th from (3:00-5:00pm). All ages & skill levels welcome - no experience needed. Equipment will be provided & spectators are welcome. This event is free for participants and their guests.
Band boosters want to congratulate those who won the raffles at tonight's concert and to thank all of those who participated with the raffles.
Band boosters want to invite any interested individuals to join their meetings at 6:30pm the second and fourth Tuesday each month. They are currently working to have a float in the 4th of July parade and are working to start a pep band for next school year!

Subject: Important Updates for This Week's Events
We have quite a few important updates for this week, particularly due to the recent sinkhole situation and extensive discussions with fellow Athletic Directors. Your understanding and flexibility with the spring events are greatly appreciated as we navigate these changes together.
**High School Track:**
Our team will be competing in St. Ignace on Thursday at 4 PM. We have successfully secured our spot, and entries will be submitted by the end of the day.
**Baseball:**
Please note that Thursday's game has been cancelled. However, we will be playing an away game against Manistique on Friday, which is their senior night. They have already arranged for umpires, ensuring a smooth event.
**Softball:**
The game originally scheduled for Thursday has also been cancelled. We’ve scheduled a home game against Rudyard on Friday to keep the momentum going. I am currently in the process of securing umpires, but everything is looking positive for the game.

We will not be having a junior high track meet today as it is cancelled in Brimley, and we will not be attending the meet in Rudyard. However, the varsity track meet in Rapid River is still scheduled to take place. We have received confirmation that the meet will proceed unless there are changes in the weather, specifically thunderstorms and lightning.

Second graders are working hard at becoming "botanists"; this week they've been exploring fruits & vegetables and their seeds. 🌱🍎🥒
Friday Fundraisers in the Cafeteria!
The goal is to have fundraisers every Friday in May (starting this Friday, May 2) after lunch is served to raise funds to purchase 6 new tables for the cafeteria. Students are able to purchase the fundraiser items, which are not a part of the NSLP (National School Lunch Program). Money is required to purchase the fundraiser items (cash or lunch account balance).
TAS does not serve ice cream sandwiches and NSLP non-compliant cookies for lunch since the district follows NSLP guidelines; using USDA Child Nutrition Recipes and because any food items that are served for NSLP must be compliant. District is following MDE guidelines for conducting fundraisers that do not meet the Smart Snacks standards in the building during the school day.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s baseball and softball games are canceled. We are pleased to announce that they have been rescheduled for Saturday at noon and 2 PM. To ensure we can accommodate the important conference game, we will unfortunately need to cancel the home tournament. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time, and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
