Mrs. Frank has chosen Maci Hutchinson as the Newberry Elementary student of the week. She is in Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Priceโ€™s 5th grade class. She has been chosen for always being on top of her assignments and for her participation in class. Every day she comes to class prepared to learn. In her free time Maci likes to draw and listen to music.

Sixth graders learned that when you add the suffix -ness to an adjective, the part of speech of the word changes to a noun! Dark becomes darkness, quick becomes quickness, etc. We practiced writing sentences using a word as an adjective, then adding -ness to use it as a noun. Great practice on making sure your sentences โ€œsound rightโ€ by using words the correct way! โœ๏ธ (Part 1)
