Luke Garrett has earned the honor of being named Student of the Week. He is in 5th grade and was chosen because of his hard work in music class. Luke's determination and self-motivation played a big part in him being one of the first to complete the Karate Recorder Program. He comes prepared, ready to learn and play every day. He is always willing to help his classmates advance as well, lending a bit of advice when asked. His self-confidence and courage was evident when he brought his guitar to class to sing and play for his peers. His greatest compliment is having the class join in. Luke is an example to those around him to accomplish the goals you set out to achieve, whether in music or something else. Congratulations, Luke!

ATTENTION 6th Grade Parents:
6th grade band (learning and playing musical instruments) will begin second semester. All 6th grade students participated in a musical instrument demonstration today. If students are interested in being in band second semester they filled out a ballot indicating their top three choices of instruments. After today's demonstration students received a commitment agreement to bring home.
Jim's Music Store from Marquette will be at our school next Wednesday, December 7th at 10:30. This will be an opportunity for all interested students to try to play the instruments they are most interested in playing. If a student wants to be in the band they MUST attend this session. Students must bring the signed commitment agreement with them to this session.
Parents: If your child is interested in playing an instrument there will be a meeting you and your student will need to attend on December 15 at 6:30 pm.
Please DO NOT buy or rent an instrument until after you attend the information & instrument rental/purchase meeting at 6:30 on December 15th.

Bella is a fifth grade student, she is the daughter of Adrianne Grawey. Bella has a great attitude and is always kind and caring. She always has a smile, and more recently, her sense of humor has started to show. Bella is friendly, courteous and responsible. She works hard and takes her schoolwork seriously. She has a positive attitude and is a pleasure to have in class. Bella works conscientiously and diligently and always strives to do her best. Bella’s participation within the class shows her engagement with the material and her motivation to learn more. I have enjoyed watching her grow as a student and as a person over the past couple years.
