Our Sac Fry Chinook Salmon are quickly growing into the Parr phase of their life cycle. We began feeding them yesterday, as their yolk sac is almost completely absorbed into their little bodies.

All week, students learned about figurative language through pop culture. Today, the students were given random holiday words and a random element of figurative language (hyperbole, alliteration, similes, metaphors, personification, and onomatopoeia).Students were asked to write a creative sentence using the information and to illustrate their sentence.





Members from the Newberry Fire Department stopped in to spread some Christmas cheer with our sixth graders today! Today's dress up day was favorite Christmas pajamas.
