Senior Spotlight: Rachel Wallace
After graduation, Rachel is planning to attend Ferris State University and major in social work. Her favorite class was her education class with Mrs. Curley and she'll never forget Mr. Griffis getting her a cake for her birthday. Rachel is going to miss Mrs. George's brownies, and her favorite saying is: "Everyone is doing the best they can in each moment."

On Friday, 8th-grade students participated in Mind Trekkers, a STEM-based activity/field trip with Mr. Frank, Mr. Depew, and Mr. Clark. Students enjoyed seeing and participating in various demonstrations. Students also gained great insight into the different STEM options that are available!

Miss Ryan also got pied today. Thank you to all the staff who braved the whip cream. Thanks to the CTE class for picking Miss Jami as the recipient of the money raised. We are lucky to have Miss Jami in TAS and working with our students.

Congratulations, Gavin! Gavin has successfully completed the 40 Book Challenge! 🎉

Fantastic job, Symon! Keep reading and great job completing the 40 Book Challenge! 👏

Senior Spotlight: Andrew Wood
Andrew is planning to drive truck after he graduates, an accomplishment that he is very proud of. His favorite high school memory is walking to his truck after school, and he will miss the last bell of school. Andrew couldn't live without his family, and his advice to incoming freshmen is to "just show up and do it."

Way to go Ava for finishing the 40 Book Challenge. You are awesome!! 😎

Preston rocked the 40 Book Challenge!! Keep up the excellent work!! 😀

Sixth grade students are busy working on a question trail. The goal is to go through the trail and answer each question correctly to lead the students to the next question. If a student answers a question incorrectly, they will find themselves back at a station they've already completed, which signals they need to backtrack and try again.

The TAS Spring Instrumental Music Concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 14 @ 7:00 p.m. in Bystrom Auditorium. Come one, come all!!

DATE CHANGE... The TAS Drama Club play, "When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors" has been rescheduled for May 7 with two performances:
* 2:00 p.m.
* 6:00 p.m.
Bystrom Auditorium
"When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors" is written by Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello. This one-act production of the Wizard of Oz gets derailed by missed cues, forgotten lines and a renegade sound board operator A comedy that proves, when it comes to live theater, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong!

Addie Clark has been chosen as the Newberry Elementary student of the week. She is in Mrs. Sparks’ and Ms. Parker’s fourth grade classes. Addie is a positive role model for her peers. She is prepared and willing to do the work in order to be successful in school. Addie always gives 100% in all she does. She is a very kind individual, giving kind words of encouragement to her classmates. She is also willing to work with anyone who needs help. It is nice to have her positive attitude and caring nature in our 4th grade classrooms. Congratulations Addie for being a model student at Newberry Elementary!
