Lucas Havens & Owen Holbrook were chosen by Mrs. Puckett as students of the week. Lucas is the son of Michael & Alesha Havens. Owen is the son of Coral & Laiken Holbrook. Both boys show daily PRIDE (prepared, responsible, integrity, determined, engaged) behavior. They are both helpful to classmates & teachers. They always work hard to complete their assignments and take pride in doing them correctly. When lessons are being taught, both boys are engaged and interact in them. It is a joy being their teacher.

K/1 ELA tutoring isn't all fun and games; however, it is fun and we do play sight word, blending, spelling pattern and sentence reading games. Our sessions start with word work, rereading, guided reading and end with games. It's a fast paced hour every week.

March is Reading Month!! We are excited about our weekly book bags knowing these will get us closer to our individual and class goals. One School, One Book is a delightful Humphrey book. Each child will receive a book and Family Fun Pack to be enjoyed at home. We will also be reading this book in class. Thanks to Mr. Kitzman for the cute skit introducing our book and Ms. Bongard for coordinating this wonderful opportunity.

Lego Club is always a fun time. Last week the club members were tasked with freeing a Lego person from a frozen pond. The catch: they were only given a few select items to use. All were successful. This week was free play, adding onto their existing structures as well as creating some pieces of machinery.
