Senior Spotlight - Lola Depew
After she graduates, Lola is planning to attend Western Michigan University for her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, and then spend the rest of her life doing what she loves! Her proudest high school accomplishments include being volleyball team captain, class president, and being the loudest one in the gym. Lola is going to miss all of her friends and memories that she's made here in high school, and she couldn't live without music. Her advice to incoming freshmen is: "Stay on top of your work, all you have to do is try, and (trust me) you'll still have plenty of time to do other things. Also, just be nice to Mrs. Canfield and she'll be nice to you."

A huge THANK YOU to all of the agencies that showed up at today’s Safety Fair. This event was put together by Yooper Youth and provided learning, fun, and hands-on experiences for our students by our local heroes. We appreciate the time and effort put in by everyone involved. And swag?!? What an added bonus!

Senior Spotlight - Hailey Boulton
Hailey is going to attend Bay Community College for Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement after she graduates. She is proud to be graduating in the top 10 of her senior class, and is going to miss having the same schedule every day and being around others. Her favorite class was Career in Education with Ms. Mac and Mrs. Havens with second grade, and she couldn't live without her heated mattress pad. Hailey's favorite quote is: "Do your best, but remember your best looks different every day."

Way to go, Carter! Carter has successfully completed the 40 Book Challenge!

Senior Spotlight: Zach Burton
Zach's after graduation plans are to go to Midwest Truck Driving School to get his CDL. He is going to miss seeing his best friend every day and his favorite high school memory is the final football banquet. Zach's proudest high school accomplishment is earning all-state for football and his advice to incoming freshmen is to take it seriously but have fun and enjoy it; it'll be gone sooner than you know.

Mrs. Havens has chosen Alice Rahilly as the Newberry Elementary Student of the Week. She is in Mrs. Havens and Ms. McNamara’s second-grade class. She has been selected because she consistently puts forth her best effort in everything that she does. She is always kind to her peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever one may be needed. Alice has a contagious smile and a personality to match! Alice is a role-model student! In her free time, she likes to play with her friends and build with Legos. Her favorite color is green and her favorite food is spaghetti. Alice is the daughter of Joe Rahilly and Katie Blankinship. I’m proud of you Alice; keep up the great work!

His favorite high school memory was the band trip, and he's proud that he made honor roll all 4 years of high school. Derek is going to miss seeing his friends every day, and Mrs. Kidd's English 4, his favorite high school class. Derek's advice to incoming freshmen is: "Pay attention and the work is easy."
