UP Superior Smiles will be coming to our Elementary March 20- March 24.
They will provide the students with assessments, cleanings, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and early cavity stopping medication. Here is the link to the permission slip, health history and consent form for the cavity stopping medication. Only the students with permission slips will be provided services and spots are limited.

SamArii Harper-Fair is this week’s student of the week. SamArii lives with her mom Mikayla Fair and two brothers Bronson and Kamdyn. Her favorite subject is science and her favorite part of school is recess. At home SamArii enjoys playing with her cats and her friend AnnaBell.
Miss Mac reports that SamArii follows all of the rules, is a good friend, and is always doing what she is supposed to. Keep up the good work SamArii and keep doing what you are supposed to!
Beach volleyball and Snow Cones were a huge hit in Mrs. Browning’s kindergarten. This celebration celebrated good behaviors and the students with zero Office Discipline Referrals were able to participate.

On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Special Agent Todd Wilton of the US Department of Homeland Security will be coming to Newberry Area Schools to present information to all K-12 students about internet safety, online activity, and the dangers of online environments. He will be completing four different age appropriate presentations during the school day for grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. He will also be doing an informational presentation for parents in the evening. The parent presentation will provide up-to-date information on the most popular apps and websites, as well as tips for monitoring your child’s online activity and helping to ensure their safety. The presentation schedule is as follows:
