Leadership Conference for grades 7-12

Miss Pavey has chosen Olen Payment as the Newberry Elementary School student of the week. Olen is the son of Matt and Jess Payment and an older brother to his two younger sisters. He has been selected because of his friendly attitude and his passion for learning. Olen comes to school every morning with a smile on his face and motivates his peers to do the same. Olen always gives 100% effort when completing his schoolwork and is a wonderful role model for his classmates. When he is not in school, Olen enjoys watching the Detroit Lions and hunting with his family. Congratulations Olen and thank you for all of your hard work! Keep it up!

This week’s Student of the Week is First Grader, Mason Johnson. Mason is the son of Alex and Auguste Johnson. He is a big brother to his little sister and baby brother. His favorite food is pancakes. At school, Mason enjoys reading books and learning about snakes. When he grows up, Mason would like to be a scientist and find fossils!
Mason was chosen as student of the week because he is an outstanding student. He is polite and respectful to adults and other students. Mason can be counted on to follow the rules of our school. He is a hard worker and always tries his best. Congratulations, Mason! We are proud of you at Newberry Elementary School!
