We will not be having a junior high track meet today as it is cancelled in Brimley, and we will not be attending the meet in Rudyard. However, the varsity track meet in Rapid River is still scheduled to take place. We have received confirmation that the meet will proceed unless there are changes in the weather, specifically thunderstorms and lightning. Anthony Kitzman

Friday Fundraisers in the Cafeteria! The goal is to have fundraisers every Friday in May (starting this Friday, May 2) after lunch is served to raise funds to purchase 6 new tables for the cafeteria. Students are able to purchase the fundraiser items, which are not a part of the NSLP (National School Lunch Program). Money is required to purchase the fundraiser items (cash or lunch account balance). TAS does not serve ice cream sandwiches and NSLP non-compliant cookies for lunch since the district follows NSLP guidelines; using USDA Child Nutrition Recipes and because any food items that are served for NSLP must be compliant. District is following MDE guidelines for conducting fundraisers that do not meet the Smart Snacks standards in the building during the school day.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s baseball and softball games are canceled. We are pleased to announce that they have been rescheduled for Saturday at noon and 2 PM. To ensure we can accommodate the important conference game, we will unfortunately need to cancel the home tournament. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time, and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
